Charlotte Darmet (PGE 2015), co-founder of Opopop

I'm Charlotte Darmet, a 2015 graduate of the Grande École programme of Emlyon Business School.

For the past 4 years, I have been the co-founder of Opopop, a reusable parcel solution for zero-waste deliveries, created with another alumnus, Antonin Grêlé-Rouveyre (PGE 2014).

My time at emlyon allowed me to immerse myself in Lyon's entrepreneurial ecosystem and satisfy my curiosity. I was one of the few students to follow the new entrepreneurship and innovation management course in Lyon and Shanghai, and I was lucky enough to be the president of the EMicrocredit association (now NOISE).

After graduating, I joined the start-up Cheerz, a leading e-tailer of mobile photo printing in Europe (founded by two alumni!). There I went through the scale-up phase, experienced the challenges of a fast-growing start-up and discovered the world of packaging, which fascinated me.

I'm also passionate about environmental issues in my personal life and something clicked.

If we spend 80,000 hours of our lives working, we might as well spend it on a social issue, right?

So I decided to take my turn at impact entrepreneurship and start Opopop. With Antonin, our ambition is to make reusable parcels the new standard for e-commerce delivery. To make reuse the norm. To reinvent the codes of logistics. Put an end to disposable packaging.

Based in Lyon, Opopop is a team of 7 people working with over 100 customers on their transition to reuse and has just been selected for the Amazon Sustainability Accelerator.

Innovation for impact: the possibilities are vast and the challenge exciting!

Camille Fauran (PGE 2013), CEO of Welcome To The Jungle

A 2013 graduate of emlyon business school, Camille is an accomplished professional with a solid background in strategy and development.

After two internships in mergers and acquisitions, she worked for four years at Stanwell Consulting, specialising in strategy and transformation. In 2016, she joined the early-stage startup Welcome to the Jungle, where, as Business Developer, she contributed significantly to the growth of the company, which now has 350 employees and generates €35 million in revenue. She is now COO, overseeing the Strategy & Operations, Customer Management and Legal teams.

On a personal note, she is the mother of 2 young children, Eli and Selma, aged 1 and 4.

Thomas Laporte (PGE 2022), CBO and co-founder of HyLight

Thomas Laporte (PGE 2022) joined emlyon because he wanted to be an entrepreneur and innovate to have a positive impact on the environment.
He started by studying law and, after meeting founders of legal tech start-ups, he realised that he wanted to be an entrepreneur.

That's why he joined emlyon. For his final year, he was selected and sponsored by the school to study entrepreneurship in technology and innovation at UC Berkeley in California. This experience immersed him in an extraordinary creative dynamic that led him to co-found HyLight.

HyLight is a greentech start-up that develops, produces and operates airship drones for inspecting energy infrastructure such as power lines and pipelines. Its airship drones, the HyLighters, enable inspections to be carried out over very long distances with the highest precision to ensure that the infrastructure is in good condition, all without emitting greenhouse gases during operation. HyLighters can replace solutions that emit large amounts of greenhouse gases, such as helicopters and aeroplanes, which are still widely used. The start-up has been accelerated by Y Combinator, the world's most prestigious accelerator, has raised over €4 million and has signed and executed its first inspection contracts.

Thomas is Chief Business Officer and has built strong relationships with some of the largest infrastructure companies in France and Europe, including Enedis and GRTgaz.
